History

When Nigel and Tony gave up flourishing careers in FMCG in 2001, the founding principle for their new venture was "to do work we enjoy with people we like'" So from day one it has always been about great people; motivating clients and suppliers to tailor solutions that are ultimately rewarding for all parties and then celebrating in that success together.

2001

When the business was first set up to establish the supply chain for the newly formed Punch Group, a second Procure4 mantra was born: “give great people the tools, training and inspiration to thrive and the by-product will be success”. In a sector cynical about the value of professional supply chain management, Procure4’s people made a real and lasting impact. Working with the stakeholders, they identified and delivered over £25m of auditable, sustainable cost base reduction in less than two years.

2003

Following the flotation of Punch in 2003, Procure4 became an independent company, growing quickly and working successfully with Pizza Express, Nando’s and Scottish & Newcastle. Procure4 has now moved into other sectors, the business continuing to grow in scale and breadth, developing leading edge technology, processes and intelligence.

2003

2006

By 2006 the importance of ‘repeat and referral’ had been established, with early clients such as Pizza Express and Nando's re-engaging Procure4 and new business from companies such as John Lewis coming in as a result of strong references from happy clients. The learning was that clients repeat or refer not just because of what we deliver, but because of how our people deliver it!

2006

2009

The brand spread internationally too, as clients such as Starwood and Compass sought our support in countries across Europe, the Middle East and the United States. This resulted in the establishment of our office in Charlotte, North Carolina and securing US clients such as Premier Healthcare and Caterpillar.

2009

2012

A company that grows by referral inevitably moves into new sectors, and by 2012 Procure4 was working in areas as diverse as Charity, Construction and Local Government. At first a client would engage us on indirect categories, common across all organisations, but as faith in our model and people grew, clients would invite us to review new ‘core areas’, ranging from medical items, to maintenance trades to portaloos!

Whilst the team has grown and the breadth of expertise widened, the core model remains the same. Bringing busy, functional stakeholders on the journey. Taking a One Team approach. Identifying, delivering, auditing and locking in challenging supply chain enhancement targets "On-Time" and "In-Full", every time. Leaving our clients with the skills and tools to drive further success.
